The gap that keeps me building

FRIDAY, 11 APRIL

The gap between what's possible and what people actually get.

Why I started Expand Health, in plain terms.

Hi —

A few years ago I ran my first serious longevity panel on myself. Full bloodwork, biological age, inflammation markers, cardiovascular risk. I had spent 15 years in healthtech. I thought I knew what was going on. I didn't. Several things came back wrong, and the honest part is that nothing would have flagged on a standard GP visit. I was, on paper, a healthy person in his late thirties.

That's the gap I keep coming back to. The science has moved fast. We now have real tools for measuring biological age, catching dysfunction early, slowing the processes that actually kill people. But the average person, even a motivated, educated one, has almost no access to any of it through normal healthcare. Expand Health is my attempt to close that gap, not just for the few who can afford a concierge clinic in a major city, but more broadly than that.

The science isn't the bottleneck anymore. Access is.

ONE THING TO TRY THIS WEEK

If you haven't looked at your biological age markers, start with one test. Not because it will scare you into action, but because it gives you something concrete to work with. A GlycanAge or biological age test costs less than most people spend on supplements in a month. The number you get back will tell you more than a decade of annual checkups.

I'm curious what made you open this email today. What's the thing you keep meaning to address with your own health? Hit reply, I read every response.

As always, reply directly if you want to talk through anything.
